Society of Saint Vincent de Paul
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is a lay Catholic organization which ministers to those who are without the resources to establish a home for themselves and/or their families. Among those served by the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul are those who have fallen between the cracks in society. Some are not eligible for existing social programs or these resources may have been exhausted leaving many of our friends nowhere else to turn but to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul for basic necessities. The Society can offer food, furniture, clothing, household items, or sometimes a sympathetic ear. Need is determined through a process of visiting our less fortunate friends in their homes to assess how best to help.
In order to carry out its work, the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul relies upon donations of gently used household items, furniture, small appliances, clothing, and food, as well as monetary gifts.

Faith and Light
We are blessed in our local community of Grandin Faith and Light that for 35 years we have been supported and encouraged by St. Albert Catholic parish. We meet in the Lacombe room in the basement of St. Albert Parish, once a month following the pancake breakfast. Faith and Light communities are made up of persons with an intellectual disability, their families and friends, particularly young friends, who meet together on a regular basis in a Christian spirit, to share friendship, pray together, fiesta and celebrate life. Catholic Women's League
Although the Catholic Women’s League was incorporated nationally in 1920 in Montreal, it actually began in the Edmonton Diocese in 1912. The pioneers of this organization worked closely with immigrants to help them adjust to a foreign land. Some councils continue to do this important work. Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools
Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools serves the area just north and northwest of the city of Edmonton. The communities that fall within its mandate include the city of St. Albert, town of Morinville, town of Legal and portions of the rural areas surrounding these communities.
